Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Purpose & Overview

At Max Interior Design, every turnkey contract involves substantial upfront architectural planning, 3D structural modeling, custom precision engineering, and specialized raw material procurement (such as imported Italian marble slabs, acoustic acoustic panels, and commercial-grade VRV HVAC equipment).

This Cancellation & Refund Policy establishes equitable, transparent protocols for project termination, guaranteeing that clients receive full credit for uncommitted capital while protecting work-in-progress costs incurred by our architectural and manufacturing teams.

2. Stage 1: Conceptual & 3D Design Phase Cancellation

If cancellation is requested after initial booking token payment but prior to the release of structural engineering drawing packages:

• Within 7 Days of Booking (No Drawing Delivery): 90% of the initial design token fee is refundable (10% retained for site audit and administrative onboarding).
• Post 2D Layout & 3D Render Delivery: The architectural consultation fee (calculated at standard commercial design rates or ₹50/sq.ft.) will be adjusted, and the remaining surplus advance will be promptly refunded to the client.

3. Stage 2: Procurement & Off-Site Factory Manufacturing

Once factory shop-drawings are signed and factory manufacturing commences:

• Custom Joinery & Millwork: Bespoke modular casework, custom reception counters, and acoustic wall panels cut to exact project measurements cannot be restocked or reused. Manufacturing costs incurred up to the cancellation timestamp are non-refundable.
• Uncut Standard Materials: Standard electrical conduit, plumbing pipework, and unopened paint pails will be credited back minus a 15% restocking and logistics handling fee.
• Direct OEM Equipment: Refundability of ordered HVAC chillers, server racks, and elevator cabins is strictly governed by the equipment manufacturer's individual cancellation terms.

4. Stage 3: On-Site Fitout Execution Phase

If a project is halted during active site civil, drywall, or MEP construction:

A joint on-site physical measurement audit is performed within five (5) working days by our Chief Quantity Surveyor and the Client's Project Management Consultant (PMC). The total value of work certified on-site plus installed materials will be calculated against milestone payments received. Any unspent balance from the current billing milestone will be remitted to the Client.

Approved refund sums will be transferred electronically via RTGS / NEFT or Corporate Wire directly to the original initiating bank account. Due to accounting reconciliation, tax adjustments (GST reconciliation), and material audit certifications, refunds are completed within 14 to 21 business days following signed cancellation settlement protocols.
